Senior High, Open Category, Aman More and Jai Rajgriha designed Emoticon, a robot that can turn its neck like a human, respond to the voice changes reflecting the emotions of the viewer. Emoticon can understand 2 Indian languages and using a series of images communicate with individuals who cannot speak the local language. A major boon in a country that has 63 official languages
Mr Clean, IRO 2012

Elementary Open Category, Kaival Parekh and Shreya Rangaraj designed Mr. Clean, a robot that sense clogged drains and clean the same instead of young children and men.
The robot, programmed in NXT-G and designed using Lego MindStorms, sported motors and a sensitive balancing pulley mechanism that cleaned and compressed the garbage that it collected from drains.
XSight, IRO 2011

Junior High, Arvind Ranganathan, Hemani Kalucha, & Nikeet Dharia designed X-Sight, a robot that enables the visually impaired to play air-hockey.
The robot, programmed in RobotC and designed using a combination of Tetrix & Lego sported “CYBORG” a robot that played against the visually impaired. Thexsight equation used 2-dimensional matrix to track the location of the puck and predict its path.
